Welcome to FruityTale Support

Thanks for using FruityTale! This page answers common questions and shows how to get help. If you don’t find what you need, email us at laurens1321@icloud.com—we’re happy to help.

Getting Started

  1. Home → See “Fruit of the Day,” quick mood presets, and your recent items.
  2. Library → Browse or search fruits. Tap a card to view details; tap the heart to favorite.
  3. Recipes → Filter by difficulty/time. Open any recipe for ingredients and step-by-step directions.
  4. Mood Lab → Adjust sliders (Warmth, Zest, Sweetness, Texture, Effort) or pick a preset. We’ll suggest fruits and recipes that fit.
  5. Journal → Log tastings, notes, or recipe results. Your entries stay on device.

Favorites & Journal

  • Tap the heart on any fruit to add/remove it from Favorites.
  • In a recipe, use Add to Journal after you cook to remember tweaks and ratings.
  • Journal entries are editable; long-press to delete.

Seasons & Taste Bars

  • Season badges are general guidance for common regions; local seasons can vary.
  • Sweet/Tart bars are comparative and educational—not strict ratings.

Data & Privacy

  • FruityTale does not require an account and does not upload your entries to our servers.
  • Your favorites, mood settings, and journal are stored locally on your device.
  • If you enabled system backups (e.g., iCloud device backup), Apple may back up the app’s local data with your device settings.

Troubleshooting

  • App feels slow or lists look empty: Force-quit and reopen.
  • Can’t find a fruit: Try a simpler keyword or visit Library → menu to switch view.
  • Crashes: If you opted into “Share with App Developers” in iOS analytics, we may receive an anonymized crash log. You can also email us with steps to reproduce and screenshots.
